NASA’s SpaceX Crew-12 mission ended at 15:34 UTC on 8 October 2026, when the Dragon capsule Freedom splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off Los Angeles. On board were NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, who had undocked from the International Space Station on 7 October. The crew launched on 13 February and spent 237 days on the station, during which they carried out four spacewalks. Meir now has 440 days in space in total, which puts her in NASA’s all-time top 10; for Hathaway and Adenot it was their first flight. Our take: a clean handover — Crew-13 was already on board, so the station was never left short-handed.
