Lofith Composites from Paterna (Valencia) put its thermoplastic composite materials into orbit on SpaceX’s Transporter-18 rideshare on 1 October, built into satellite panels with sensors that track how they age. Hydra Space handled integration; the work ran through ESA’s Technology Broker programme with support from the Spanish Space Agency, and included atomic-oxygen tests at ESTEC. Our take: a small firm reaching orbit is how a national supply chain grows.
