A Novaspace study for the Portuguese Space Agency found the sector contributed €1.2 billion to GDP between 2019 and 2024, about 4,500 jobs a year and €2.17 of value for every euro invested. New companies now appear at 4.8 a year, up from 1.9. Our take: still only about 0.1% of GDP, but growing from a very small base.
