The Turkish Space Agency (TUA) signed two cooperation documents during the first two days of the 77th International Astronautical Congress, which opened on 5 October at the NEST Congress Center in Antalya. The first is a framework agreement with the space agencies of fellow members of the Organization of Turkic States, building on the joint CubeSat project the organisation already coordinates. The second is a declaration of intent with the UK Space Agency to develop joint projects. The announcement named no signatories and gave no budget or timetable for either document. Our take: the shared Turkic CubeSat is the one to watch, because a satellite actually built together is the clearest test of whether such frameworks turn into hardware.
