The German Aerospace Center’s research rocket lifted off from Esrange in northern Sweden on 1 October at 06:51 UTC, reaching almost 300 km and giving about seven minutes of weightlessness. Its 360+ kg payload studied alloy solidification, cells and biofilms and thermoelectric generators, plus four student experiments, many in standard “Mosaic” boxes. Our take: cheap, quick microgravity flights like this keep German lab research flowing.
