A PwC impact study for TEDAE, the Spanish defence, security, aeronautics and space industry association, reported on 6 October, puts the consolidated turnover of Spain’s space industry at €1,416 million in 2025, up 9.5% on 2024. Civil space accounted for €1,241 million and defence space for €175 million, the latter growing faster at 16.6%. Exports reached €1,167 million, or 82.4% of sales, and the sector supports 25,068 jobs in total, 8,553 of them direct. Companies spent €402 million on R&D, about 15.7% of turnover, while Madrid alone concentrates 74% of the activity. Our take: a sector that sells four of every five euros abroad is a true export industry; the next test is turning that into missions flown on Spanish rockets, starting with Miura 5.
