Vega C lifts two climate satellites, and Avio does it alone

Flight VV30 from Kourou carried ESA’s FLEX, which measures the faint glow plants give off while photosynthesising, and Copernicus Sentinel-3C for oceans and land. It was the second Vega C launch run entirely by Italy’s Avio. Our take: Europe’s small launcher is quietly finding its rhythm while the bigger Ariane 6 stumbles.
