Operation Potiguar phase 2 launched a VS-30 sounding rocket from the Barreira do Inferno launch centre, reaching 92 km on a flight of about 12 and a half minutes with four experiments, among them microorganisms in microgravity and a new lithium battery. The payload was recovered at sea by the air force, qualifying the PSM-R suborbital platform. Our take: getting experiments back after minutes of weightlessness gives Brazilian labs a cheap, home-made way to fly research.
