The Portuguese Space Agency’s PROSSE programme is funding five projects, from making oxygen out of Martian CO₂ to turning a Lisbon stairwell into a 2.5-second free-fall tower. Sixteen proposals came in, up from two funded projects in 2025. Our take: small grants, big ideas, and a stairwell drop tower is exactly the kind of hack that gets students hooked.
