ESA’s Boost! programme is adding €2.7 million, matched by RFA, to prepare the first two test flights and the first full hot-fire of RFA One on the pad at SaxaVord in Shetland. The 30-metre, three-stage rocket is designed to put up to 500 kg into a 500 km sun-synchronous orbit. Our take: after a static-fire attempt was called off in July, money for pad testing is exactly what RFA needs now.
