Starliner will not carry astronauts again before 2028

NASA and Boeing plan an uncrewed Starliner-1 flight in December or January to check fixes to the thrusters that ran outside their limits on the 2024 crewed test; astronauts return on Starliner-2 “by 2028”. Our take: until then, SpaceX’s Dragon remains America’s only ride to the station, which is exactly the single point of failure NASA wanted two capsules to avoid.
